Human Resources Coordinator
Position Objective:
To coordinate and assist in handling People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s human resources (HR) operations and implement HR programmes and practices effectively.

Delhi or Mumbai
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage aspects of the recruitment process which may include preliminary review of applications, asking interview questions, completing reference checks and so on
- Manage and maintain HR files and records in HR software ensuring confidentiality, data accuracy and adequate record-keeping
- Track and ensure timely reminders for appraisals, probations, work anniversaries and so on.
- Help Oversee and ensure smooth induction and orientation of new joiners by executing pre and post joining steps
- Oversee initial training by working with and coordinating with relevant team members, and by executing certain trainings
- Draft various HR letters paying special attention to legal compliance, professionalism, fairness and accuracy
- Assist staff with and maintain various HR trackers for effective performance and other analysis
- Review attendance and ensure that leave and other related HR policies are followed by staff appropriately
- Assists HR department in carrying out other HR programs and procedures for PETA India staff as assigned by the supervisor
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of HR experience
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and central and state regulations is preferable
- Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA India campaigns
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
- Willingness and ability to travel between PETA India offices and project sites when needed
- Support for PETA India’s philosophy and the ability to advocate for PETA India’s positions on issues professionally
- Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
